Hey guys! A few days ago I shared my booth reveal -- if you missed it, be sure to go check it out! Once I had everything in place, I realized my booth was lacking some lighting, so I got to work! Here are a few pieces that I put in the booth:
1. Toilet Paper Roll Light
First up, my toilet paper roll light. Yup, you heard that right. I've had it finished for forever, but never had the confidence to share it. I thought it was lame, but others thought it was cool so I decided to use it in the booth. I started out with this old fabric chandelier from Goodwill:
I paid $6.00 for it and it included the light cord (not pictured). I removed all of the fabric, formed toilet paper roll sections into squares, and hot glued them to the metal base of the light like so:
Then, I spray painted it Satin Lagoon from Rust-Oleum (the same color as my Bedroom Lamp). Now, it looks like this in my booth. I'm not selling it, though.. it's just for looks!
2. Metal Desk Lamp
I found this cute little desk lamp at a garage sale for $3.
Then, I spray painted it with Satin Lagoon from Rust-Oleum (must be my favorite, huh?). This one is actually for sale in my booth!
3. Red Vintage Lamp
I found this vintage lamp for $5 at a garage sale and fell in love because it matched my bedroom lamp. Sadly, though, I didn't have time to give it a makeover so it looked like this in my room for a few months:
When I realized I didn't have any lighting for my booth, I decided I could part with it. I spray painted it with Rust-Oleum's Satin Colonial Red and stole the burlap lamp shade from my bedroom lamp.
I hope it sells soon so I'm not tempted to steal it back.
4. Last Minute Bronze Lamp
The day before my "grand opening" I decided to go to a few thrift stores in hopes of finding some lighting. I came across this gorgeous bronze base for $4 and paired it with a paisley lamp shade that I've had for a while (I'm such a hoarder).
What do you guys think? Do you have any other lighting ideas for me?
I would love to hear them -- leave me some links or just let me know your ideas in the comment section! Once these lamps sell I will need more options! :)
