Huge Announcement: Revolutionaries Market is Coming Soon!

 
 

Welcome to our new website! You’ll notice a lot of things have changed, but they’re all AMAZING changes! I’ve been hinting at an exciting project coming up soon, and now I can finally announce: my Mom and I are joining forces and opening our own craft/furniture store -- Revolutionaries Market -- this summer in downtown Monroe, Georgia! I’ve been dreaming of this moment for the past few years, but I never thought it would actually become a reality.

God just kept putting it on my heart to take the leap, though, and after months and months of telling Him no, I took the first step. I met with a representative from the Small Business Administration and started developing a business plan, and doing fun things like a financial plan (sarcasm is strong here). The preparation was hard (it’s still hard), but God was with me through it all and continued to show me that He was (and is) all over this. And let me tell you, there is such a strong peace that fills my soul when I know I’m in God’s will. It doesn’t mean it’s not scary, but the peace assures me that I’m doing the right thing.

We will be a marketplace for crafts, furniture, and home decor, but we will also have a strong emphasis on creative classes -- craft/DIY classes, furniture painting classes, and we’ll also bring in other friends to teach classes on knitting, sewing, cake decorating, essential oils, and other fun things! If you’d like to attend a class, keep an eye on our Classes page or subscribe to our emails and click “I’d like more info on classes,” and we’ll send you an email whenever we announce new classes!

 
 

We don’t want the Market to simply be a store, but we want it to be a ministry that connects and affects our community. One way we’re going to do that is through our “Cause of the Month.” If you look at the bottom section of our home page, you’ll read about how we’re going to have the “Cause of the Month” creatively displayed in the Market. 10% of our sales will go towards that specific cause (a non-profit organization in our community). If you’re interested in participating as one of our causes, you can fill out our Cause of the Month Application.

One of the most exciting parts of this story for me was finding the store location! Again, God was all over it. You can see it’s humble beginnings in this picture:

 
 

The amazing part is that I had the opportunity to be a part of the restoration of the building -- my biggest project yet! My next post will be the whole story and all of the before pictures, so make sure you subscribe!
