Creating an Awesome DIY Band Merch Table

Hi friends! I'm going to talk about something a bit different today: band merch tables! If you're new here, I sing background vocals in Crystal Padilla Music, a bilingual worship band. We decided to refresh our merch table and I thought, "Hey, this could apply to craft booths or craft festivals, too."
So, here's what is on our merch table:

Cardboard Letters

Front and center, we have "CPM".. you know, just in case people don't know what our band name is ;-) I simply hot glued together 3 cardboard letters (bought at Hobby Lobby) with cardboard like so:

Then, I painted the letters white for a clean and crisp look.

Two Crates & CDs

We bought two small CD crates at a craft store (I think they were $4 each). One displays our custom coffee cups and one holds our CDs. (Our CDs won't be blank like that for long by the way... we bought blank cardboard CD holders and then glue CD art on the front and back).

Custom Coffee Cups

Crystal (the lead singer and my roommate) is pretty much obsessed with coffee. I mean, her dog is named Venti (the largest size at Starbucks). It only seemed natural to whip up a few custom CPM coffee cups. We simply followed one of the tutorials on Pinterest on how to create DIY coffee mugs. The key is to use oil based Sharpies! We did several with our lyrics and then some with random stuff (like cute animals).

We put our bracelets on a jewelry holder I got at a garage sale for $1! Then, we put the holder in a cute little treasure box that we bought at Hobby Lobby a long time ago. I also added a little bit of burlap under the holder to add a little warmth and texture.

We love our little buttons, but they're hard to display because they're so small. I put them in two mason jars and I love the result!

Everyone loves stickers, right? We order these cuties through StickerMule. I put them in a little tray that was part of a planter that I redid over at Crafting a Green World.

Social Media / Booking

What do we love most about the merch table? Connecting with others! It's key to include info on how people can connect with us after an event or service is over. We still keep up with friends we've made over the years and it is such a blessing to keep ministering long after we're gone. We found adorable double-sided frames at Ikea for 99 cents. You just can't beat that! We love the double sided frames especially because we're a bilingual band -- which means some of our events are in English and some are in Spanish (and some are both). With the double sided frames, we can easily change the frame to suit our "audience." Underneath the frames we have our social media cards which basically list where people can find us.

In addition to the social media cards, we also have business cards for people who are interested in booking us for other events and worship services.

A Donation Jar

We always put a donation jar on the table for anyone who feels led to invest in our ministry. I use a simple mason jar and used velcro to keep the donation tag in place (and so we can take it off when we pack everything up).

Price Tags

Speaking of price tags, we bought a pack of 10 wood price tags from Michaels (they were on sale for $1.00!). I spray painted them black and then wrote on them with the same oil Sharpies we used for the DIY mugs. The adorable mason jar tags are also from Michaels.

Crystal Padilla Music's New Music Video!

I know I don't talk about it too terribly much on here, but I sing background vocals for Crystal Padilla Music, a bilingual worship ministry. I wanted to share with you guys our new music video "La Roca." Yes, it's in Spanish, but I have the translation listed for you guys below the video. I know this has nothing to do with crafts or DIY, but this ministry is a huge part of my life and my heart... and I want my friends (that's you) to be a part of it! Let me know what you guys think! :)

 "La Roca" English Translation:

Verse 1:
You are the rock
I place my life in you Lord
Knowing you are all I need

Verse 2:
Your grace so, abounding
Your love has made a way for me
For me

The glory be to you my King
Unchanging one, you have set me free
You're the passion burning in my heart
I will live for you alone

Even when storms my come
I know you will not forsake me
You are my hope and strength
Lord I put my trust in you
